This 2 piece vintage set is most likely late 1950s, and is fresh as springtime. The sleeveless dress has a fitted bodice and round neck. The skirt is attached with gentle gathering. The coordinating bolero jacket is partially lined in the dress print, providing accents on the cuffs, shawl collar and decorative buttons.

FABRIC/COLORS: Nice stylized large-scale floral print of dahlias or chrysanthemums in shades of green and turquoise against a white background. The fabric is medium weight crepe with a crisp feel. The outer jacket is grass green, lined in the floral print of the dress. The fiber content tag says the dress is acetate, and the jacket rayon.
TAGS: Mode-O-Day, Styled in California
CLOSURES: The dress closes with a long metal zipper up the back. The jacket hangs loose - it has decorative buttons covered in the print of the dress, but they are not functional.
CONDITION: On close inspection, I found two pinholes in the dress bodice - no fraying - see closeup for example. No other issues noted.
