50s Diamanté Festoon Choker$125.00
This choker is so regal — it recalls the choker necklaces popular during the Regency, era (Bridgerton vibes!). This piece was made in the 1950s and features individually prong-set stones, with a scalloped design, similar to the festoon necklaces of the 19th Century. Its metal has taken on a darker tone, which also darkens back to the blackened silver used during the Georgian and Victorian eras— it was intentionally darkened so as to make the stones shine brighter by candlelight. It falls at a short choker length, and can be adjusted between 11.75-16" thanks to the adjustable fish hook clasp. Shop more diamanté chokers in my shop.
Great vintage condition. Note that some of the stones have darkened, but its a part of the natural aging process of this type of jewelry, and also part of its appeal (see above).
