This is a beautiful vintage-1950s cocktail dress with a full lace overskirt, two layers of ivory-color chiffon, and one underskirt layer with a horsehair hem for dimension. The fitted sleeveless bodice features a cowl drape attached at the shoulder seams. The cowl drape may be worn in the front or in the back. The dress is designed by Pauline Modes, 2121 Broadway, at 74th St., New York. The bust is 37 inches. The waist is 30 inches. The skirt length, as measured from the waistline to the chiffon-layer hem is 22 inches. (Purchase does not include display mannequin.)
