Jack McConnell was from Mooresville Tennessee. At one time he was referred to as the “King of Millinery”. He designed hats for movie stars such as Joan Crawford and Lana Turner. It is said that a label with a red feather indicates the hat received the personal attention of Mr. McConnell.
