Vintage 1960's possibly late 1950's Party Dress, Handmade, estimated size Small, 4, 6, Medium - please be sure to see the measurements for best fit - this dress has no stretch.

Cream colored Lace body with gold and green sequins set under the lace
Lined at chest with a partially secured grosgrain ribbon with a hook and eye closure - I believe this is meant to hold the lining in place when worn.
Unlined skirt - may have been worn with a crinoline underskirt?
Silver satin ribbon trim
Talon metal zipper at side closure w/ hook & eye at top
Full circle skirt
Fitted through bodice
Adjustable shoulder straps
No stretch - fabric is crisp

Condition - overall in very nice condition. There is an area at the Right chest that I think I see some darkening, it's very slight. I have not attempted to clean this dress. The lining shows wear and has a pen mark - I have not attempted to remove the mark and it does not show when worn. Structurally, the dress has no damage - no tears, holes, stitching is sound.

This would be a beautiful dress for holiday parties, the green and gold sequins are very subtle, but add just a smidge of sparkle to the lace. It's a very beautiful, feminine dress and so flattering on. This dress fits me like a size 4/6 by today's standards.
