This is a lovely midi skirt from the 1940s. It is a polished silk blend material so it has a lovely shine to it.
The cherries and the scalloped edge are all hand embroidered and done so beautifully and skillfully.

Because if it’s age the silk has some color variations and a few darker and lighter spots that you can see in the pictures provided. This isn’t something you really notice when it’s on as the shiny material naturally plays in the light so it all blends well.

These aren’t stains so much as perhaps lightening in areas from the sun etc. it is after all around 80 years old!

There are no holes, rips or snags in the material. It has a side zip with a 1930s style metal zipper (but this is a 40s garment).

This is a high waisted skirt so we’ve taken measurements of the top waistline and the natural waistline. No size tag but it measures out to modern size
