This 1940s dress is perfect for a spring day or a summer wedding!

The ruched sleeves are gathered in such a way that they have a frosting like fluffiness to them. Flattering, plunging, overlapping "v" neckline that meets an arched seam under the ribcage to form a fitted curve emphasis where the waistline begins. This nicely accents the waistline unlike empire waist dresses. There are some alterations I made to protect the delicate stitching and add strength along the waistline seam. I tacked down a handmade belt/sash made from the hemline to provide core strength and add support to the left side snap closures(3) pictured. There are some pleats right below the sash on the skirt portion of the dress I had to hand stitch to reinforce the existing thread that had been compromised. It's barely noticeable and I took great lengths of care to improve the dress. There is a pea sized hole on the bottom hem disguised in the floral pattern-hard to see. It's an exquisite dress that you will love to feel amazing and comfortable in, ready for any occasion!
