Fabulous and rare vintage 1940s cotton novelty print resort dress by Frances Sider. Sleeveless, tank style bodice is totally smocked in elastic which dips down just to the hips for a lovely silhouette. Sweeping maxi length skirt is a full circle creating wonderful movement. Metal Talon zipper up the side.

Frances Sider essentially blazed a trail for others within the industry with her revolutionary resort wear designs and was among the first to create two piece swimwear styles.
