Vintage 40’s Plasticflex Clutch Handbag$130.00
This is a fantastic vintage 1940's Plasticflex handbag. This incredibly unique modern design was first created and patented in 1941 by Florence Kuhlman. It is made of square plastic compound tiles with a raised floret design held together with plastic coated cotton cord (to look like leather). It has a taupe linen type lining with a small inner side pocket. It features a smooth metal zipper with original O ring pull. All plastic tiles present and complete, all cording intact and flexible! No labels present. This exact purse is documented in a 1940's ad...see the amazing picture!
It measures: 9 " wide, 5" high and is 1 1/4" thick. Each tile is 1 1/4" X 1 1/4" square.
Excellent condition, with some discoloration along the inner edge of the zipper and a lipstick smudge on the inner small pocket.
