Rare as hens teeth and HIGHLY COLLECTIBLE vintage 1930s or possibly late 1920s four piece handmade red satin lounge set / beach pajama set. This incredible set includes a jacket that has contrasting bell sleeves that are lined with pink satin and have buttons at the sleeves, trimmed with pink piping, and have a hand stitched motif of pagodas, trees, birds, and grass on the sleeves and around the bottom. The trapeze style top has the cutest design with red and pink braided spaghetti straps that criss cross in the back, with a bib style front, and THE BEST red and white striped lucite buttons, belt loops with matching sash to belt the top in, little trimmed front pockets, and the same hand sewn motif repeating around the bottom. The wide leg, high waisted pants have an elastic back, side button enclosure, trimmed waist, V front, and legs, extra wide leg openings, and finally, repeated hand sewn motif around the leg openings. Truly beautiful!

Condition: excellent minus. The jacket has a repair on the top center back, the threading covering the buttons on the second set down is missing some thread and is showing through, the jacket also seems ever so slightly lighter than the top and pants, as if someone previously tried to wash it. The top has no issues, but it’s worth mentioning that a previous owner had put in darts at the bust. The pants have one small tear on the seam at the hip, one small hole on the right thigh. See photos. Priced with this in mind.
