This crepe dress has faceted , gold, metal, pyramid shaped embellishments and the jacket has Whiting and Davis style " chain mail" ( for lack of a better term) squares around the base of the jacket on swinging crenolated pieces that hang from the bottom! Same squares running down the sleeves! Tiny pleats around the skirt of the dropwaist that are even made in a way that they have a circular pattern within the pleats themselves.

The shoulders of the dress have a dropped shoulder seam so as to not put pressure/ weight on the shoulders, which worked because there is no tearing at the shoulder seams! There is a beautiful layered and pleated front "sash" that also adds to the astounding ART that is this dress!

It's very small. You must be SURE to measure yourself to guarantee fit because though it's in great shape for it's age, it is delicate. There are a few tiny holes. Two on the upper that are completely hidden when you wear a black slip beneath, and a few on the lower back of the skirt, but really don't show due to the pleats and the location.

If you appreciate 1920's vintage, you know how rare is to find one in black, let alone one with this kind of artistry!
