Whether you love soap operas or designer 90's clothes, this set has both!
From Italian luxury designer label Max Mara comes this easy-to-wear silk 2-pc. ensemble. Made from a medium weight, semi-sheer georgette-chiffon, it features an interesting crosshatch style print in black, on beige brown ground. The skirt is a standard staple -with 2 inch wide pleats all around, black lining, and side zipper plus hook + eye closure. The top contains all the interesting elements; a bias-cut collar that gathers around the neck, then falls into asymmetrical folds that may be worn either free-hanging, wherein it drops past the waistline, or it may be tied up as we have shown in the photographs. The structure of both pieces is simple, yet elegantly casual. The overall condition of these is very good, with two small issues; a bluefish stain at back skirt waist (usually covered by blouse), plus slight peeking of the lining from the hem. Please review photographs for full details. Labels read 'Max Mara, made in Italy, professionally dry clean' and 'size 4 US/8 UK'.
Please note: this set (as well as a few other items in the shop) were used as wardrobe on soap operas, which may include As The World Turns and Guiding Light (this set specifically worn by character Emily, perhaps 'Emily Stewart' from ATWT). While I'm not sure exactly which soap, or when, the labels are marked with special inventory codes that signify this. The inventory date is marked as March 1988.
