Stand out in a crowd, anywhere you go, in this vivid vintage 70's vegan-friendly coat...
This fantastic coat is a real head-turner (and compliment-garner) with it's faux fur in brilliant stripes. This is the ultimate animal-friendly coat, because not only does it use faux fur, but no leather is used here either! Instead, a lightweight perforated synthetic fabric is the base of this coat. Long, Muppet-like fur in brilliant orange, red, purple and grey create a chevron pattern all around. The design and silhouette is fairly simple, with a slight flare shape, oversized lapels, and a full nylon zippered front closure. There are two upper hip pockets and the lining is a medium weight acetate. One of the lovely features of this coat is that it isn't super heavy or thick (making it a great option for travel, or finicky weather situations). This is THE glam rock coat of your dreams (or my wannabe-David Bowie dreams). The overall condition is excellent, with very light surface wear and one small grey spot at back left cuff. Apparently this coat was manufactured in England, but sold at Trimingham's, a Bermuda clothing shop that was opened in 1842! (but has since closed in 2005) The label reads 'Trimingham's Bermuda, made in England'. But, the exceptional -in my opinion- label is the paper tag still in side seam that gives much more info including order number, style number, size (10), as well as the machinist's (stitcher's) initials!! Gotta love the little details...
