Adorn your body in hundreds of hours of hand-embroidery, with this handmade vintage dress...
A wonderful example of craftsmanship, this dress has been made of a length of hand-embroidered floral fabric! The outer shell of dress is a semi-opaque, bubblegum pink cotton, atop a white cotton liner fabric. Black thick cotton embroidery between the layers creates a third, grey-pink tone for the petals and leaves. The embroidery is beautifully executed and in perfect shape -with not one stitch broken or out of place. A black decorative scallop edging satin stitch lines the bell sleeves and hem. There is an interesting hand-written message at bottom left hem (see last pic) and I believe it says 'Por Ani G.' ('For Ani G.' in Spanish and I do suspect this dress is of Central American origin). The shoulder area also features an unusual design detail: an extra gusset-shaped panel of fabric with the sleeve gently gathered into lower seam. Center back closure features an 18.5" length metal zipper and metal hook + thread eye. Overall condition is excellent with two small yellowish stains, the larger (third to last pic) near center hem and light, smaller stain is 2" further to the right (second to last pic), both of these stains aren't very noticeable and could potentially be hemmed away (shorten dress) along with the mild staining along hem crease.
