This dress is THE epitome of classic 1950's novelty and fun!

Made from a light-to-medium weight woven cotton in pure minty-green color, this dress has a fantastic novelty or conversational print featuring muted Tiddly Winks game (this dress was once mine {found in Miami} and when I wore it, I used to love getting people's different interpretations of what exactly this print was! I would hear, most commonly; cookies and milk, candies/gumdrops and pills with water cups. It wasn't until I asked this question at a party in Brooklyn, that the case was solved and it was quite clear what the print really was about! -truly, a conversational print. Tiddly Winks was a popular game in the early 50's in which you use a disk to snap-leap other disks aiming into a cup). The neckline is sweetheart style and is punctuated by three minty green glass buttons, which may be as old as Victorian. The neckline and armsyce (armholes) are trimmed with yet another super-50's detail, rick-rack trim in matching brown. The flared skirt is delicately pin gathered/tucked into the waistband and there is a hidden, 11.5" metal zipper closure at left side waist. Overall condition is excellent, near mint and ready to be worn for many years to come! Only flaw to note is slight underarm staining. No labels, as this is clearly a home-made or handmade dress...so, one-of-a-kind!!!
