1800s Antique Black Polished Cotton Plain Victorian Plus Size Apron Dress Set Details:
- plain antique dress dates to possibly a 30 year period anywhere from 1870 - late 1890s
- dress made on sewing machine
- bodice is lined in a muslin fabric with black metal large hook and eyes at center front
- 4 front bust darts coming from waistline
- could have been for a servant or for house wear, may have had detachable collar and cuffs originally
- doesn't look like it was worn much
- inner dress has black polka dot hemline and same polka dot inner pocket
- dress form shoulder was set at 59" to bottom of dress form platform when images were taken
- best for approximately a modern size 16 but please base purchase off of actual measurements
Condition: very good
- two repairs to dress with mercerized cotton thread and parts of dress from inner seams
- one of the repairs where front of dress at front opening had torn (not a great repair but stabilized it from tearing, one area at back of dress near hem where had likely been stepped on
- tried to get all fuzzy threads off but when padded dress form, many fuzzy threads came off on dress from padding
- has not been cleaned but no odors
