Gorgeous antique 1890s silk brocade 2 piece gown in a Large Size! Beautiful floral lace work at front and back bodice, and at sleeve cuffs, with larger lace appliqués at front bodice and cascading from shoulders. Lining and under layer of boned bodice is a soft silk. There are black velvet accent bows at front and back of blouse waistline and black trim at neck and in a V shape at front and back bodice. Attached cotton petticoat is scalloped at hem and decorated with Swiss dot embroidery (Photo 10). Skirt has a soft silk delicately pin tucked panel down front Skirt with 6 beautiful jeweled buckle buttons on either side connected with pleated silk strips. Skirt is a gathered bustle style at back with a train. There are multi hook and eye closures at front of bodice and back of skirt.

🧵Condition: Although the set is stunning and the silk brocade skirt is in wonderful condition, it does have fraying at waistline, hem and a few small slits on the skirt. There is one stain on the skirt front (see photo 5). Overall the lace on the bodice is in lovely condition, there is some discoloration conducive with age. Note: There is extra lace on inside of bodice. Most of the hook and eyes are accounted for but it may be missing a few. The silk sleeves have staining and shredding under the arms (See photo 9). The lining of the bodice is shredding and should be removed or replaced. The cotton petticoat is in very good condition with minor staining and age discoloration (Photo 10). This set is being sold as found.
Overall the dress is exquisite with age appropriate for the era. Please zoom into the photos and if you need additional pictures please don't hesitate to contact me.
