Authentic Antique Mid 1800's short cape pale yellow wool with gorgeous detail on the edges of the pink and white silk satin ribbon trim. Wide collar with crochet covered buttons and lined in a papery feeling off white silk. I and some experts believe this to be from the 1860's. Modern Size small but really would fit anywhere from a XS to smaller medium. The shoulders are 30", this would have been worn with a day dress. There is moth damage and some light stains but for its age it is in very good antique condition. Please ask for more photos as we can only post 10 here. This piece came out of an Auction last year in New England with a group of other antique clothing including a 1840's gown. I am just getting around to listing my antique pieces this week.
