Victorian Antique 1800s Purple Velvet Brocade Jacket
Fitted jacket with seven beautiful buttons on front. It appears there should be two more on bottom of these and one on top. There is also an inside piece of material with 10 button holes but no corresponding buttons - may have been harvested at some point. I love the tails at the back. Fitted satin-like cuffs (not as smooth as satin)
Note: I could not get all buttons done due to my ribs. I am 5'1" and wear XS to XXS tightly. The jacket measures approx 19" long to tail hem. Bust is 31". Waist is approx 24" when buttoned. 27" around area where I could not get top buttons buttoned, I measure approx 27" at this point where my lower rib cage is. So smaller than that would help. Perhaps a shorter person? 12" shoulders.
Condition is wearable even with missing buttons - if you have a seamstress you trust they could add the extra buttons. Small hole in lining. Boning in sides is just a bit mishapen.
