This antique nightcap is made of crocheted cotton and is from the mid-1800s. It was for wearing in bed to keep the hair set in place while you slept. There is a drawstring inserted in the back to adjust for size. It is kept on the bed with woven cotton ties. It's in very good condition. There are a few small spots here and there but hard to see.
