This Derby Porcelain figurine is from the 1700s, and comes from my family collection. Featuring a shepherdess and a single sheep, this figurine cuts a fine figure. With a Rococo style base, the piece de resistance however, is the intricately painted skirt. Which is pink, with metallic gold flowers. The sheep is clamoring for attention, and the lady seems to be having none of it.
8 1/2" tall
Condition: This item is an antique, and it shows signs of that. The lady is missing a hand, a branch on the shrub behind her is missing, and a couple of leafs are damaged. Needs a good cleaning as well.
Markings are illegible , but I know from family records that this is Derby Porcelain.
