Stunning cream silk gown dating to the turn of the century. Its three pieces: a top, the collar, and the skirt. The collar is made of cream silk and has beautiful white and cream pearl beads in a floral motif on the top edge and there are silk gauze ruffles. The collar has stays and fastens with hooks and eyes. The bodice is also decorated with stunning beading down the front. It is wonderful with iridescent, clear, and pearl beads in a leafy paisley-like design. This beading is more 3-D and is sewn onto the dress and backed in white silk organza The bodice itself is a jacket style with a faux shirt that peeks out at the center. This part of the bodice is made of silk and is covered in white silk gauze. The rest of the bodice is simple and chic; the sleeves are more loose-fitting and have a slight puff at the shoulders. The cuffs are trimmed in beading that matches the collar with large gauze ruffles. There is a faux belt, attached to the bodice hem and hangs over the front of the skirt. It fastens together with a hook and eye. The bodice is fully lined in a light but sturdy cotton and is fully boned on each seam. The bodice closes down the center front with hooks and eyes. There is also a waist tape that helps support the bodice and the skirt with two large hooks on the center back that helps keep the top and skirt together.

Condition:
This dress is in stunning condition overall with only a few small flaws. There are small splits near the hem of the skirt,They are small, all shorter than 1”. There are some small faint stains that are scattered over the dress, mostly age-related, and are hard to see overall. Last, there are some pulls in the silk gauze, considering the material is fantastic. The set is still so stunning at nearly 120 years old. It can be delicately worn and is ready for a new home.
