Black late Victorian bodice, circa 1890s, with a very unique flap on the front. It buttons down the front and the flap covers the buttons and attaches with hooks and eyes.

+++ Condition +++

Overall condition is good with moderate wear. There are two tears in the fabric, each about 1. 5"-2". One is located on the back of the bodice and the other is on the sleeve.

One small worn spot/hole on the top of one shoulder.

There are also a few small moth holes. The bottom button is missing, and there were hooks and eyes at one point where the buttons are, but only two of the hooks remain.

I have not cleaned this piece and there is a slight musty odor.

Wearable with care but also would be a great study or display piece.
