The Kingdom of Naples has been pulling coral from the Mediterranean Sea to create jewelry and decorative art since ancient times, and coral is now synonymous with this beautiful region. This brooch, which I love worn as a pendant, was made in Naples in the 19th Century, with genuine Mediterranean coral, in gold-filled wishbone. Both coral and wishbones are considered lucky charms, so this piece is a powerful amulet to collect, or gift. It has a pin back if you prefer to wear it as a brooch, and the chain can be added if you like. Measures 3cm long x just over 1 cm wide, and stamped 1/20 for gold filled (the closest possible to real gold without it being sold and significantly more expensive.)
