This stunning antique jacket was made in the 1870s or early- to mid-1880s. It features gorgeous lace trim along the neck, chest, and sleeves, as well as pretty detailing on the bustle area. Lined in brown fabric. Such a beautiful piece of history! A great display piece, but also sturdy enough to wear with care. This garment fits like a modern XS or XXS. It will fit a S (perhaps snugly) if worn unbuttoned. Photographed on a Size 2 dress form and was too small to button.
Measurements (Taken with the jacket buttoned up) Bust: 32 inches (taken flat and doubled) Waist: 27 inches (taken flat and doubled Length: 34 inches (shoulder to hem)
Condition: Very good for its age. A few buttons are missing. A couple of button holes seem to be sewn closed (not sure why). Due to its age, I have not attempted to launder this piece.
