This beauty is a true piece of history...hailing from the late 1800s! These classic wash boilers were often made of cast iron, but the higher end pieces were made of copper. They were used to wash clothes in and were heated over open wood fire our wood burning stoves. Nowadays they are collected and used for decor purposes. This oval, solid copper tub is extremely large and comes with it's original lid! It boasts hand carved wooden handles on the sides and the top. It does have a variety of dings and dents that add incredible and authentic character. But less so than most others like it from this time period. It would make a great decor piece for farmhouse, rustic, industrial, or eclectic decor.

Condition:
Age appropriate signs of wear. It has minor dents and scratches throughout. The lid fits on well but needs a little push.
