1950’s unique script secret gardenlike border print teatimer shirt dress:

I thought this was custom made, but from taking a closer look, there was actually a tag that was cut off.

I was able to recently confirm this piece is 1950’s from seeing a New Look circle dress with metal zipper in this same border print and material, also with only a material label.

Material is stripeywoven broadcloth cotton with halffrog closures looping with faceted buttons.

Deep side slit pocket on both sides!

Measurements:
3839” chest;
13” arm holes;
37” waist;
40” hip;
42. 5” long from center back neck seam.
3” hem allowance (border print ends at currentlyshown hem)

Only flaw observed is fraying at last buttonclosure.

Darts can easily be added to create a more fitted teatimer look.

I have never seen this print before.

Love red/pieces that remind me of romantic Far East inspired places.
