Tribe a People United
Two Tone Brown Reversible Thick Woven Button Up Oversized Cardigan$100.00
Vintage reversible sweater jacket from Tribe a People United. One side is tan, brown, and olive with the brand logo on the left hip pocket flap. Thick knit with wood button and loop closures. The reverse side is black, brown, and tan with pockets, also with wooden buttons and loop closure.
Two coats in one! This reversible jacket is versatile in style and cozy warm for fall days and chilly evenings. Truly a unique find – as the designer and owner of the company is no longer with us, so this jacket is part of his legacy.
On the black, brown, tan side of the jacket, the top wooden button is missing, but does not adversely affect the wearing of this jacket. All other buttons are in place and functioning, but could use a few stitches to strength their hold. There is very minor pilling along the seams of the underarm and waist area – so minor it was difficult to capture on the camera.
This jacket was woven with cotton thread in Nepal. The versatile style could be translated through cottage, shabby chic, lagenlook, country, and farmer. I could also easily see this used in grunge fashion.
