Superbly fashioned in black, silver and gray, Chic in style, this Spencer Alexis two-piece set still has the original paper tags attached. Worn only for this photo shoot, it is in Mint Vintage Condition. A fabulous mix of colors and fabrics, the Robe -inspired style, small beads, and a rich collage of sheer and lace fabrics make for designer touches.

For the top Size Small is shown, however please use the measurements to determine if it will fit you as sizes have changed over the years:

Shoulder to shoulder is 15 and 1/2 inches.
Sleeve length is 14 and 1/2 inches, with the under arm length at 11 and 1/2 inches.
Arm hole opening is 20 and 1/2 inches.
Bust size is 38 inches.
Waist size is 34 inches.
Full length is 23 and 1/2 inches.
Hemline width is 48 inches.

For the skirt size Medium is shown, however please use these measurements as sizes have changed over the years:

Waist is 26 inches un-stretched and 36 inches when fully stretched.
Hip is 40 inches.

The original price shown on the paper hang tag for the Robe -style jacket was $169 and for the skirt prices typically ranged between $90 and $100.

I chose beige for these pictures so the black lace would clearly show in the pictures.

The Robe -inspired top has one front frog-type black clasp with a shape meant to fall naturally on your body, with the frog clasp either closed or open. Note how the shape flares and the front panel drops lower than the rest of the fabric for a typical Spencer Alexis designer touch that some users describe as "Art to Wear".
There are no shoulder pads so this blazer has a more natural shoulder line. With fine attention to detail, there is a flared panel trim down the front of the jacket. Be sure to look at the photos of the back to see how the designer incorporated lace and a small ruffle there to define the waist.
Collarless in style, the Robe is not lined. As you can see in the photos, there are sheer elbow length sleeves, with a 3 inch wide band of black and silver lace at the sleeve edge.
The back is see-through black floral lace. Two views of that are shown in the final pictures.
The fabric label for the blazer reads "Spencer Alexis, Size Small, 90% polyester, 10% Nylon, Style #CHU14, Cut 19431, Made in USA, Made in California, Dry Clean Only, RN 74303". For the skirt the label is essentially the same, however the fabric is shown as 60% rayon, 30% polyester, 10% nylon. The skirt is lined in the lower edge only.
As lovers of Spencer Alexis garments know, RN 74303 is the RN used for their clothing.
