From the 1970's, when casual wear Hostess wear was at the height of its popularity, this never worn Shadowline 2-piece set is brilliant orange. Both the full length gown and the robe are New Old Stock, with an original paper hang tag still attached. The gown is sleeveless, A line and features a fold down collar. The robe has slightly elongated shoulders, not quite a cap sleeve, but not sleeveless. It is zip front and there are belt loops for the removable self belt.
Although the set is marked as a Small, it is generously sized, so it may well fit someone who is a S/M. Please use these measurements to assure your best fit:

As you may be able to tell from the photos, this is a more opaque nylon, which appears to be like the Quiana nylon fabric that was introduced in the 1970's era.
With the self belt being removable, it could also be used with the long gown. In these photos I didn't show that, due to the limit of photos I can list. However, a belt with that gown will give it a different look and show off your waist too.
A-line in style, there are no pockets in the gown and one in the robe, on the right side.
The collar of the gown is meant to fold down over the yoke of the robe when these are worn together. You will notice that the yoke of the robe is a U-shape and that the front zipper is long, at 24 inches.
This Shadowline nylon is machine washable and can be tumbled dry on low. Because the paper hang tags are attached I have not laundered this set.
In unworn Mint Pristine Vintage condition, this set has only been worn briefly for this photo shoot.
There are no snags, all the seams are intact and there are no stains, holes or other issues.

Shadowline was a lingerie company, located in Morganton, North Carolina. It was founded in 1946 by Sherrod Salsbury, Jr. The company had the reputation of producing lingerie of very high quality.
This was an original Salesroom sample, meant to be displayed in a Shadowline showroom. That is where department store and boutique lingerie buyers would come to see what was available to order. The salesroom is where they could buy merchandise in bulk for a future season.
