A division of Random House that produced classics in affordable editions to the masses. They were also compact editions, meant to be easily carried in a purse or pocket.

Considered an interesting view into the mind of Machiavelli, an Italian diplomat and political theorist. This volume includes the complete translated texts of both The Prince and the Discourses along with a historical and critical Introduction by Max Lerner. Second edition published in 1950.

In over all very good vintage condition, thee is an inscription at the front and other norma signs of wear and use.
