This 1946 edition of The Dark Wood by Christine Weston has striking dust cover art by Walter Kumme. This is a marked book club edition, with a green and brown cloth cover under the dust jacket. Weston was the winner of a Guggenheim Fellowship, this was her third novel and the rights were sold to 20th Century Fox. The film was cast in 1946 with Maureen O'Hara and Tyrone Power in the lead roles, and Otto Preminger directing, but was never produced.

In good condition overall, some definite wear to the dust jacket and normal signs of wear and age to the book.
