Tamara Aladin Molded Glass Carmen 1777 Decanter for Riihimäen Lasi Oy

Gorgeous molded decanter designed in 1969 by Tamara Aladin for Riihimäen Lasi Oy Glass in Finland. It is molded blown glass, with a unique ridged neck and pontil mark at the base. The color is an orange-red... looks beautiful with light coming through it.

Here is a bio of Tamara (pictured) from the "Mother Sweden" website:
"Tamara Aladin (1932-2019) was one of the leading representatives of the illustrious Finnish glass design of the 20th century. She is most known for her years at Riihimäen Lasi in the 1950s-1970s. Tamara’s artistry is represented at numerous museums in the Nordic countries."

I acquired this at the estate sale of a diplomat from Finland. It is an extremely rare piece, especially here in the States.
It is very good condition, with no cracks or major flaws. Just very minor signs of wear and age. It

Just over 9" by 7 across the base, the stopper is 5" wide
