Black velvet is always chic, as proven by this vintage Talbots black velvet envelope style purse that was Made in Hong Kong in 1989, as shown on the date on the inside tag. It has gold lame edging and a front flap. Classic style makes it a fashionable choice for so many occasions, day or evening.

It is a versatile 7 and 3/4 inches wide by 6 inches tall by a maximum of 2 inches wide.

The inside has one small side pocket.

There are dual 52 inch long thin cord fabric handles that will not snag any silk or knit garment you wear. With those long handles you can use this as either a crossbody or over the shoulder style purse.

As you can see in the photos, this purse is pleated at the sides to be slightly wider at the bottom. The bag can either be quite flat or fuller depending on how you fill it.

It is in Excellent Vintage Condition, with no issues to report. This vintage Talbots purse was used gently and stored well by the original owner.

As can be seen, the outside velvet and gold lame are remarkably clean.

The inside fabric is likewise clean, with no stains, marks, tears or odors.

All of the stitching is intact, there is no rubbing evident on the corners and the front magnetic snap works smoothly.
