From Liz Claiborne Dresses, this 1980's vintage black knit 2-piece set boasts accents of metallic gold stripes and a front pocket with a heraldic crest. Sweater dress style, it includes a long sleeve round neck tunic length sweater and slim skirt with an elastic waistband. Made in Hong Kong, it is 95% wool and 5% metallic. Without any metallic accents, the skirt is 100% wool.

Please use these measurements to determine your best fit. As with all knits, there is some stretch available, however these measurements were taken without stretching, except at the waist and hip.

For the tunic-length sweater:
Shoulder to shoulder is 18 and 1/2 inches
Bust is 42 inches
Arm hole opening is 20 inches
Sleeves are 23 inches
Waist is 40 inches
Hip is 40 inches
Hemline width is 38 to 44 inches
Full length is 28 inches

For the skirt:
Waist is 24 to 35 inches
Hip is 38 to 41 inches
Hemline width is 38 inches
Full length is 24 inches

It remains in Very Good Vintage condition, with a minor repair to mention in a small area where a snag has been mended in one of the sleeves. There are no stains, odors, snags or tears in the fabric.

There are no zippers, hooks or buttons. Pullover in style, the sweater slides on over your head and the skirt has an elastic waistband.

Although no doubt there were shoulder pads, since this is from the 1980's, those have long ago been removed. If you want to, it would be easy to add some new ones inside at the shoulder seam.

For maximum versatility, the skirt is solid black so it becomes a wardrobe staple for you to mix and match with other sweaters, blouses and blazers. Of course this pullover will look terrific with today's leggings and pants for a different look entirely.
