STUNNING 1920s Black Silk & Silk Velvet 2 Piece Dress Set with Embroidery and Fringe Tassel - 20s Autumn Dress - 20s Silk Dress | Size Small

An absolutely breathtaking early 20th century dress set. The set consists of a foundational long sleeve shift dress done in a feather lightweight black silk with black velvet details at the shoulders, sheer silk chiffon sleeves featuring a black ruffle at the elbow, a tier or cornflower blue silk soutache, a ruffle of arsenic green silk chiffon, and an vivid orange cuff trimmed in black velvet. The top dress is a sleeveless tunic done in black silk velvet featuring the most exquisite silk embroidery in matching shades of orange, green, and cornflower blue. The tunic also features a large deco detailed brass tone brooch with Czech glass rhinestones and a long black fringe tassel that hangs from the brooch. The foundational dress fastens with asymmetrical snap closures from the neckline down the full front of the dress with snaps at the cuff. The tunic fastens at one shoulder with hidden snaps and must be dressed overhead.

Condition for each piece is listed as very good with minor notations and general notes of age. Both pieces are 100% wearable with no progressive damage or shattering to the silk. The foundational dress has one small light mark noted near the neckline (unseen when worn with the tunic) and one small hole in the green ruffle at the left cuff. The blue soutache detailing shows just a bit of mussing that would perk up with attentive steaming. The tunic dress shows no issues, no overt crushing to the velvet, no soiling or stains. Only minor notes of age mentioned for full thorough disclosure.
