The original owner of this vintage Marja Kurki 33 inch square scarf obviously appreciated the many ways to use this terrific scarf to accessorize her wardrobe. As evidence of its prior life, in spite of the fact I had it cleaned, there are some small stains, plus a few pulls or worn areas in the silk. However, overall it remains a desirable scarf, with fabulous colors, so I decided to list it and let the buyer decide. It remains in Good Vintage Condition, free of tears, rips, odors or anything offensive that would keep you from wearing and enjoying this vintage Marja Kurki scarf for many years to come.
I tried and was unable to photograph the small areas with minor wear, such as small snags or pulls where the scarf has been tied repeatedly. In most cases, when you fold this scarf to wear it, those will not be visible anyway.
To make you feel better about your choice I have listed this at a much lower price than a pristine Marja Kurki scarf would normally be in the hope that a bargain price will help you overlook the signs of a prior life with the original owner.
As you may be able to tell from the detail photo, the edges are hand rolled and hemmed. Those hems are in perfect condition.
The fabric tag is missing, however one touch and you will know this is a quality well made silk scarf.
The scarf is a 33 inch square which is an easy size to use for so many optional ways to wear a scarf. Just a few of those are shown in these photos.

Marja Kurki Ltd. is a Finnish company that was established in 1976. At first the company had only one employee, its founder Marja Kurki. Artistic endeavors of this persistent Finnish woman have paid off, and now the company has subsidiaries in Sweden, Denmark and China. She has had too many exhibitions and events to mention and has been asked to design specialty scarves for national, sporting and cultural events. Her work is acknowledged as some of the best of contemporary silk design.
