Be the first to wear this vintage Shadowline pastel yellow nylon nightgown styled house dress. The style is unique so that you can wear it more like a dress. A drawstring waist, with a self belt, is over large front pockets and there are half sleeves. An original 1965 paper hang tag is attached. Knee length, it is essentially A-line. When you tie the belt the gown will shape itself to your figure. Note that there are front darts at the bustline, which will make it fit more like a dress.

In their iconic pink and black colors, the fabric content label inside simply shows "Shadowline, Small, Made in USA, All Nylon". Made before 1971 when laundry instructions became mandatory on all labels, there are none here. However, since this is nylon, it is washable and can be tumbled dry.

This is a well made garment that is easy to wear and it can be enjoyed for many years to come. It is in Never Worn Mint Vintage condition.

I do not find any snags, stain, odors or issues to report in the nylon. All the seams are intact and this comes to you from a pet-free, smoke-free home.

This was an original Salesroom sample, meant to be displayed in a Shadowline showroom. That is where department store and boutique lingerie buyers would come to see what was available to order. The salesroom is where they could buy merchandise in bulk for a future season. According to the label the retail cost in 1965 was $6. In today's equivalent dollars, that would be $52. 68. Amazing!
