40's Silver and Blue Cocktail Charm Bracelet$55.00
This is a very large, heavy charm bracelet. It is clunky and chunky. Circa 1950 faux lapis, antiqued silver bracelet has seven charms, all with early plastic simulating blue lapis stones. Each charm is held in a detailed setting, with carved borders or textured metal. The charms range from 1. 25 inches to 1 inch. It fits a small to average woman's size at 7 inches. The bracelet as a whole is in excellent condition. The thick chain is cable style and textured. The closure is a fold over box clasp original to the bracelet and still works well. It is a typical cocktail style. The chain is circa 1945 and made by a high end costume jewelry maker of the time. NecromanceNola sells this type of vintage jewelry often since it was well made and had unique design. The chain links are a good shape and have a nice weight to them. The first half of the 20th century was the heyday for well made costume jewelry sold from fine department stores to Woolworth, usually made in Europe or the United States. The manufacture and quality of costume jewelry deteriorated in the latter part of the century making this era the last with enduring products. There is no makers mark on it.
