Darling and delicate 1940's silk souvenir handkerchief from France. This Handkerchief is made of the most fine, delicate and gauze like silk! Embroidered with silk thread are the allied flags and the words Souvenir De France. The handkerchief is bordered by delicate lace trim. This was made after WW2. Because of it's age and delicate fabric there are tiny holes and the fabric is tearing a bit by the embroidery. Unfortunately, the previous owner must have had washed it improperly and as a result the colors of the flags bled into one another but it does not take away from it's delicate beauty! Great addition to a handkerchief or war memorabilia collection!
