These earrings stopped me dead in my tracks: they are so special that I immediately wanted to know their story (and wear them with everything). They are made of sterling silver and a large heart-shaped cabochon baltic amber stone. Mostly mined in Russia and the Baltic States, Baltic amber is the most high quality and highly sought-after amber; a single piece can date back 40 million years. The hearts dangle from a convex shield of hammered sterling silver. The silver is very fine, making them lightweight and comfortable to wear. They are finished with a push back for pierced ears and measure 2.5" long x 1.25" wide. They are signed "MS" and stamped STERLING.
