Shadowline
Short A-Line Nightgown Shadowline White Sleeveless Sassy Polyester and Pima Cotton Fabric 1975 Paper Tag by Shadowline$42.00
You will be the first to enjoy wearing this Shadowline white "Sassy Shift" short nightgown. Original paper hang tags from 1975 are attached. A square neckline is trimmed with softly ruffled white eyelet lace with blue embroidery. That same blue floral trim is on the yoke and a blue satin bow accents the front. A mix of 65% Dacron Polyester and 35% Pima Cotton guarantees you this will be an easy-care garment.
The tag identifies this as a Size Small, however please refer to the exact measurements to determine if this will fit you as sizing has changed over the years.

It is in Pristine Mint Vintage Condition, with no issues to report. All seams are intact, there are no stains, snags or odors.
Of course this nightgown can be laundered. Because the original paper tags are still attached I have not done that.
Shadowline was a lingerie company, located in Morganton, North Carolina. It was founded in 1946 by Sherrod Salsbury, Jr. The company had the reputation of producing lingerie of very high quality. As you can see, they also manufactured exclusive garments for department stores, such as Sears.
This was an original Salesroom sample, meant to be displayed in a Shadowline showroom. That is where department store and boutique lingerie buyers would come to see what was available to order. The salesroom is where they could buy merchandise in bulk for a future season.
