Collectible vintage, this never worn blush pink nylon size Small Shadowline still has its original 1963 paper hang tag. It features a feminine floral tiny rosebud embroidered sheer chiffon yoke, trimmed with narrow ruffled lace. There is a Peter Pan style chiffon collar and six front buttons. One front square pocket is on the right front side. Very representative of mid-20th century styles, this robe is delightfully sweet and desirable too.

The tag identifies it as a size Small, however please refer to the exact measurements to determine if this will fit you as sizing has changed over the years:

In the detailed photo I show a close up of the sheer chiffon yoke and collar, the ruffled lace, the tiny rosebud embroidered pattern and the old pink and grey Shadowline label.

The fabric content tag simply reads "Shadowline All Nylon, Small". This robe was made before 1971 when laundry care and country of manufacture were first mandatory for all fabric tags.

This is a lovely nylon, with a rich feel in the hand and a more opaque look.

Shadowline was a lingerie company, located in Morganton, North Carolina. It was founded in 1946 by Sherrod Salsbury, Jr. The company had the reputation of producing lingerie of very high quality.

This was an original Salesroom sample, meant to be displayed in a Shadowline showroom. That is where department store and boutique lingerie buyers would come to see what was available to order. The salesroom is where they could buy merchandise in bulk for a future season.

This classic Shadowline robe is in Mint Never Worn Vintage condition.

I do not find any snags in the nylon, all the seams are intact and there are no stains, snags or holes.

It comes from a pet-free, smoke-free home.
