Note that this is one of those Shadowline labels that is still pink and grey, which means it has been worn and laundered very little.

Fabric content is shown on the fabric tag as All Nylon, which is washable and can be tumbled dry on low. This gown was Made in Mexico after the NAFTA Agreement of the 1990's, when companies began to manufacture there to keep costs down.

As most vintage buyers know, the Shadowline fabric is a lovely nylon, with a rich feel in the hand and a more opaque look.

Shadowline was a lingerie company, located in Morganton, North Carolina. It was founded in 1946 by Sherrod Salsbury, Jr. The company had the reputation of producing lingerie of very high quality.

This classic full length nightgown is in wonderfully wearable Excellent Vintage condition.

I do not find any snags in the nylon. All the seams are intact and there are no stains, holes, odors or other issues. You will find yourself enjoying this gown for many years to come.
