mid century pair of 2 hand made wooden mokugyo drums / bells. Mokugyo are wooden percussion instruments used by monks during the morning and evening for chanting. They are positioned on their side on a cushion and stuck by a leather padded striker. One features two dragon heads on the handle and the other has large fish eyes (serving as a reminder to all that God is watching everything we do). These beautiful hand cared pieces were hand painted in red and gold. These pieces are collectible and commonly used for decor and meditation.
