Kangas have for as long as is known been a traditional type of dress amongst women in East/Central Africa. Many African ladies wear a Khanga over their skirts while working in the fields in order to control dust. Men can sleep in kangas and often wear them around the house.

This vintage Khanga Contains the phrase in Swahili “Mungu Ni Mkubwa” meaning God is Good.
