Made in Italy and designed by Belle France, this yummy soft pair of chocolate brown pants has two layers, the top of which is sheer. That layer is a mix of 70% Viscose and 30% Silk. Solid brown, the lining is 95% Viscose and 5% Elastane. The 2 and 1/2 inch wide waist band is elasticized. There is no zipper and these easily pull on and off. My model immediately described these as "soft and silky" when she first pulled them on. She said they felt like the best kind of pajamas but looked like dressy pants. For these photos they are shown with a berry pink cashmere sweater, (tucked into the waistband) that is available in another of my listings.

The label inside identifies these as a Size Medium, however it is best to use the measurements below to determine fit because sizing has changed a lot over the years.

Waist fits 26 to 36 inches.
Hip is 48 inches.
Rise from the crotch seam to waistband is 12 inches
Waistband is 2 and 1/2 inches wide, for a total rise of 14 and 1/2 inches.
Inseam is 29 inches.
Full length is 41 and 1/2 inches.

On the fabric content label it specifies these are washable or that they may be line dried.

For those who are not familiar with these fabric terms, Viscose is is a semi-synthetic type of rayon fabric made from wood pulp that is used as a silk substitute. It has a similar drape and smooth feel.
Elastane is the generic term used to describe branded textiles such as Lycra Spandex. Its primary attribute is the ability to stretch up to 7 times its original size.

Freshly clean, these will arrive ready to wear right out of the package.

To maintain the slim look, these pants don't have pockets. For the outer layer the viscose and silk sheer fabric has a crinkled, almost permanently pleated, appearance.

There are no stains, holes, odors or unraveling anywhere and the elastic is still quite stretchy.

In Excellent Vintage condition, this pair of pants is from a home with no pets and no smokers.
