A pattern-on-pattern fleur de lis print provides a lace-like design in the fabric. At each of the yokes there is a subtle satin swirl design. A zipper is the closure for the robe and both garments are figure-friendly A line in style.

This super soft Shadowline 80% Cotton and 20% Polyester fabric nylon is machine washable. Because the paper hang tags are attached I have not laundered this set.

Shadowline was a lingerie company, located in Morganton, North Carolina. It was founded in 1946 by Sherrod Salsbury, Jr. The company had the reputation of producing lingerie of very high quality.

This was an original Salesroom sample, meant to be displayed in a Shadowline showroom. That is where department store and boutique lingerie buyers would come to see what was available to order. The salesroom is where they could buy merchandise in bulk for a future season.

This classic full length nightgown and robe set is in unworn Mint Pristine Vintage condition, only worn briefly for this photo shoot outside in our sunny SW Florida sunshine.

There are no snags, all the seams are intact and there are no stains, holes or other issues.
