With an original 1983 paper hang tag, this never worn peignoir set is an absolutely charming pastel blue full length charmer. Made by Shadowline in the USA, this 2-piece set has an empire waist, dual spaghetti straps on the gown, softly shaped bra top, pink floral trim and the robe is wrap front. New Old Stock, never worn (except briefly for this photo shoot) and designed to be pretty as well comfortable, this set is 100% nylon.

Shadowline was a lingerie company, located in Morganton, North Carolina. It was founded in 1946 by Sherrod Salsbury, Jr. The company had the reputation of producing lingerie of very high quality.

This was an original Salesroom sample, meant to be displayed in a Shadowline showroom. That is where department store and boutique lingerie buyers would come to see what was available to order. The salesroom is where they could buy merchandise in bulk for a future season.

Each of these pieces is in unworn Mint Pristine Vintage condition, worn briefly for this photo shoot.

There are no snags, all the seams are intact and there are no stains, holes or other issues.
