Absolutely gorgeous vintage 1990s long crushed velvet robe by L.A. lingerie designer Claire Pettibone. The soft stretch velvet body is cream colored, with grey crushed velvet collar and large cuffs. Hook and eye closure at empire waist. There is beading and embroidery above the cuffs and along the empire waist closure (photos 3, 8, 9). This is a new old stock vintage item with the Neiman Marcus tags still attached, but this is an item with flaws:
1) The front right side of the robe is longer than the rest of the robe (visible in photos 1, 5, & 12). The hem section that is longer starts at approximately 1" longer on the side, lengthening to approximately 3" longer near the robe opening (best seen in photo 12).
2) The empire waist closure isn't even; the right side of the empire waist is higher than the left side at the closure (photos 2 & 3). 3) The small flowers on the left side of the empire waist embroidery are cream colored, while the flowers on the right are white (photo 3).
4) The left sleeve is 1.5" longer than the right sleeve.
Please understand that you are purchasing an item with flaws. This robe retailed for $495, and has been priced in accordance with its issues. Fabric content is in photo 11. Size Small with the following approximate flat lay measurements:
Chest from pit to pit: 16.5" flat; this is a very stretchy fabric, and can stretch to approx. 19"
Empire waist width: 14”
Right sleeve length from shoulder: 22"
Left sleeve length from shoulder: 23.5"
Length on front left side and in back: 51"
Length on front right side: 52" - 54"
